As a Thai person, Nimman is among the top spots that we go to while travelling, so rest assured if you find a lot of foreigners or have a perspective that the place is too touristy, we Thai people go there too. And, if you are not into shopping or walking around in general, some of the places are worth visiting just for the food or sitting down for a while, which we often do as well.

Chiang Mai is also well known for its hand-woven cotton clothing and natural dyes. These pieces are popular for their quality, along with a style that often feels minimal, light, and easy to wear.
Note: There is a noticeable sense of quality to these pieces, although the prices can be on the higher side. Many also require handwashing, especially those made with natural dyes, which should be washed separately as the colour may bleed into the water.
